HYLO Forte

Introduction:

HYLO-FORTE® is for the intensive, therapeutic lubrication of the ocular surface in more severe and persistent dry eye sensation as well as after surgical interventions on the eye.

HYLO-FORTE® contains 0.2% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for hydration of the ocular surface. HYLO-FORTE® contains a higher concentration of Hyaluronic Acid which makes it more viscous and in so doing the eye is provided with an intensive, soothing and long-lasting moisturising film. Persistent or more severe symptoms are relieved, and the eye is protected against further irritation.

HYLO-FORTE® is a sterile solution that is preservative free and phosphate free.

Composition:

1 ml HYLO-FORTE® contains 0.2% sodium hyaluronate, citric acid anhydrous, sodium citrate (acts as a buffer to maintain pH levels), sorbitol (osmolarity regulator) and water for injections.

Recommended For:

• Moderate to Severe dry eye
• All causes of dry eye discomfort
• Stabilisation of the tear film
• Uncomfortable and persistent dry eye that is not alleviated by other drops
• Lubrication of the ocular surface post surgery

Suitable for:

• Children and all ages
• Pregnant and lactating women
• Contact lens wearers
• Post-Surgery
• Concomitant use with other eye drops
• Patients that need a product that is preservative, alcohol and phosphate free
• Patients who have struggled to use other types of bottles e.g. squeezy bottle
• Long term use

How it works:

HYLO-FORTE® contains high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for a higher viscosity that contributes to longer residence time on the eye, meaning longer symptom relief for patients.

• Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance found in many organs of the human body and has an especially high water-binding capacity.
• Its unique property is that it forms a regular, stable and long lasting, lubricating and moisturising film on the eye surface that is not easily rinsed off.
• This so-called bioadhesive property ensures that the cornea and conjunctiva are protected and together with the physiologic tears the eye lid moves easily over the surface of the eye.
