Live Webinar: Adult Squint – When to treat and when to refer?
What to expect from this webinar:
This session on Adult Squints will provide a practical, clinically focused overview of key management strategies. Topics will include guidance on when to prescribe prisms, when to consider eye exercises and what steps to take if they fail. We’ll cover important warning signs that may indicate underlying pathology, as well as how to approach lens choices, including the use of varifocals and considerations in thyroid eye disease. Troubleshooting common presentations such as exo- and esodeviations—particularly in identifying cases like sixth nerve palsy—will also be discussed. In addition, the session will address the psychosocial impact of strabismus in adults and the critical role of referral to an orthoptist for diagnosis and management support.
This webinar is accredited with the General Optical Council (GOC) in the United Kingdom for 1 interactive CPD point for Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians.
