Launch of the UKISCRS Annual Congress Image Contest – Your Chance to Attend!

Are you an ophthalmic trainee in the UK or Ireland? Have you always wanted to attend the UKISCRS Annual Congress but never had the opportunity? This year, UKISCRS is excited to offer a unique opportunity for first-time attendees to join one of the most prestigious ophthalmic events in the calendar—for free. All it takes is one compelling clinical image.

We are delighted to announce the launch of the UKISCRS Annual Congress Image Contest. This exciting initiative is designed to support and encourage aspiring ophthalmologists by offering the chance to attend the UKISCRS Annual Congress in London from 12th to 14th November 2025 through a special bursary award.

Who Can Enter?

The contest is open to all ophthalmic trainees based in the UK or Ireland who have never attended the UKISCRS Congress before. Whether you’re early in your training or nearing completion, this is your opportunity to showcase your clinical insight and creativity while stepping into a premier professional event.

What to Submit

The judges will be looking for fascinating and educational clinical images that tell a story. Your entry should include:

• A clinical image related to a Cataract, Refractive Surgery, or Cornea patient case.
• A short description (around 100 words) explaining what the image captures and why it’s significant.
• Images should demonstrate not only clinical relevance but also offer a glimpse into your unique perspective as a trainee.

What You Could Win

Three lucky winners, selected by a panel of expert UKISCRS judges, will each receive:

• An £800 education bursary
• Full registration for the UKISCRS Annual Congress
• A ticket to the UKISCRS Dinner, a fantastic networking and social event with peers and experts
