Edel Duffy PhD
Head of Medical
As the Head of Medical at Scope, I bring over 15 years of experience in Global Medical Affairs within the healthcare industry. My career began as a clinical nutritionist in a large teaching hospital, where I cared for and supported patients post-surgery. This foundational experience has fuelled my passion for championing the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals.

At Scope, I strive to integrate these needs into product development, create valuable patient resources, and provide essential education and support for clinicians. My goal is to ensure that every aspect of our work reflects our commitment to excellence in patient care and clinical practice.
Mandy Davidson BSc (Hons) FCOptom
Medical & Professional Affairs Manager
I am a UK-based Optometrist with extensive experience in hospital, multiple, and independent settings. In 2024 I was delighted to be awarded a Fellowship of the College of Optometrists for Education and Clinical Care. My interest in dry eye was sparked by the challenges faced by dissatisfied contact lens wearers and grew from there when in 2010, I established a successful dedicated dry eye clinic. This, along with my passion for patient care opened doors for me to develop and deliver educational material to share knowledge, encouraging fellow healthcare professionals to understand the importance of effectively managing dry eye disease. I am fortunate to continue to run my dry eye clinic part-time alongside my role in the SCOPE Medical and Professional Affairs Department. I am always happy to share my experiences by developing and delivering high quality education for all healthcare professionals to empower them to ultimately improve patient care.
